Gajendra Singh on Wednesday took over as director (marketing) of state-run GAIL, a key responsibility at a time when the government is aiming to promote gas-based economy.
He will be responsible for sourcing gas from international and domestic suppliers for marketing in the country, ensure capacity utilisation of pipeline infrastructure and expanding the pipeline network. Singh has 32 years of experience the oil and gas industry and has been involved in the execution of several prestigious projects of GAIL, including the Hazira-Vijaipur-Jagdishpur pipeline.
